CATL Founder Was Awarded Lifetime Achivevement Award in Lithium ion Industry
Abstract: At the recently held National Alliance for Advanced Technology Batteries (NAATBatt) annual conference, CATL founder and chairman Zeng Yuqun was awarded the annual lifetime achievement award.
Founded in 2007, NAATBatt was proposed by former US President Barack Obama to promote the development of advanced lithium battery technology.
Prior to this, Professor John B. Goodenough and M. Stanley Whittingham, the pioneers of lithium battery technology and Nobel Prize winners in chemistry, respectively, in 2013 Won the award in 2015 and 2015.
A Chinese company leader will be given the same award as the founder of the global lithium battery and the Nobel Prize winner. The reason given by NAATBatt is: to recognize Zeng Yuqun's achievements in large-scale lithium battery manufacturing technology.
NAATBatt's evaluation is pragmatic and relevant. If Goodinoff and Wittingham are the inventors and technology founders of lithium batteries, then Zeng Yuqun is the important people who cannot be ignored in the mass produce lithium batteries in the digital and power fields and promote globalization.
